This tour offers some of the most famous highlights of Vietnam but still shows typical features of friendly people, interesting daily life and beautiful landscapes. It is suitable for those who do not have long vacations.

Day 1:  ARRIVAL IN HANOI   

Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, meet guide and transfer to Hanoi for hotel check in (Check in time: 14:00)

Afternoon, enjoy a fantastic trishaw ride through the bustle and hustle of Hanoi Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2:  HANOI (B)

Full day for exploring the fascinating city of Hanoi where old and new things blend together, Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mix together.

Enjoy a pleasant walk around the peaceful Ho Chi Minh area, visit HCM Mausoleum (close on Mon & Fri, Oct – Nov), HCM’s stilt house and garden, the One Pillar pagoda.

Visit the Quan Thanh temple, the Ethnology museum. Take another pleasant walk at the beautiful Temple of Literature.

Finally take a fascinating walk through the famous 36 busy streets of the Old Quarter and shopping.

Overnight in Hanoi

Day 3:  HANOI – HALONG BAY (B-L-D)

8:00 Transfer to Halong Bay.

12:00 Arrival in Halong, check in a shared deluxe junk and enjoy the cruise with gorgeous scenery, delicious meals, visiting a cave, cooking class aboard, etc.

Overnight on the cruise

Day 4:  HALONG – HANOI – HUE (B-BRUNCH)

Early morning, doing Tai chi on the boat. Enjoy breakfast, continue the cruise around the beautiful bay.

9:00 check out the rooms and pay the bills.

10:30 have brunch on the boat

11:30 Disembark the boat and transfer to Hanoi airport for flight to Hue

Arrival in Hue airport, meet guide. Check in a hotel.

Day 5:  HUE – HOI AN (B)

AM: Visit Tu Duc tomb, visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong Ba market, visit the Hue Imperial Citadel.

PM: Transfer to Hoian via the Hai Van pass. Stop for walking on Lang Co beach.

Arrival in Hoian late afternoon. Check in a hotel and relax.

DAY 6: HOIAN - SAIGON (B)

Morning, check-out hotel. Enjoy city walk visit of the old town: the History museum, the market, the old Tan Ky house, the Chinese Phuc Kien temple, the Japanese bridge.

09:15 Transfer to the airport for flight to Saigon VN109 DADSGN 1105 1220

Arrival in HCMC. Meet guide and transfer city tour visit the War Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral (1880) and Old Post Office (1886), the Opera House, the city Hall, the Ben Thanh market.

17:00 Enjoy the water puppet show.

Overnight in HCMC

Day 7:  SAIGON – CAI BE (B-L)

8:00 transfer to Cai Be located on the Upper Branch of the Mighty Mekong River.

10:30 Enjoy boating on the river, observing the fruit whole sale market in Cai Be, and see the locals producing rice paper, salt, soya sauce, pop rice, popcorn, coconut candies etc.

12:30 Lunch will be served with local food on boat while cruising Cau Xeo River  

Enjoy a rowing boat ride through small canals.

Enjoy tropical fruits and traditional music at a garden

16:00 transfer back to HCMC

18:30 Drop off at the hotel

Overnight in HCMC

Day 8: SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS – DEPARTURE (B)

8:00 Transfer visit the Cu Chi tunnels

13:00 Back to HCMC

Transfer to airport for flight to home

End of tour.
