This trip offers fascinating exploration of beautiful mountainous areas, national parks, and hill tribes in North VN.

Day 1: Hanoi 

AM: Arrival in Hanoi by plane, airport pick-up

City tour includes visits to HCM area, HCM Mausoleum (outside only), the Presidential Palace, the house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, a fascinating trishaw ride and walk through the busy interesting Old Quarter of Hanoi.
The day ends with a very interesting water puppet performance.

Check in a hotel and free time on your own 

Day 2: Hanoi – Lang Son – Cao Bang (B)
Full day transfer by road to Cao Bang, via Lang Son. These are the very up -north provinces bordering with China.

Check in a hotel and relax. 

Day 3: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc waterfall – Cao Bang (B)
Enjoy day trip to Ban Gioc waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam, located near the border with China.

back to Cao Bang for another night. 

Day 4 : Cao Bang – Pac Po – Ba Be national park (B-D)
Enjoy visits to the famous historic sites in Pac Po where Ho Chi Minh used to live and lead the country’s revolution after 30 years travelling around the world.
Afternoon transfer to Ba Be national park.

Check in a home stay overlooking at the beautiful lakes. Relax on your own. Walk in the vicinity. 

Enjoy a home made dinner with the host family. 
Overnight at the park home stay

Day 5: Ba Be (B-L-D)

Full day enjoy being in the nature with boating on the lakes, visit a cave, soft trekking to a waterfall, walk back to the village. 

Relax with a nice cold drink at the home stay. 
Overnight at home stay of the Tay people

Day 6: Ba Be – Bac Ha (B) 
Full day transfer by bus to Bac Ha, admiring gorgeous landscapes on the way.

Lunch on the way at a simple local restaurant with local food

Check in a small hotel in Bac Ha. Walk in the vicinity to visit hill tribe villages. 

Overnight in Bac Ha

Day 7: Bac Ha – Sapa (Sunday) (B) 
Morning visit the famous colourful market of hill tribes in Bac Ha. 
Afternoon transfer to Sapa along beautiful scenery. 

Check in a hotel and relax. 

Day 8: Sa Pa (B)
Full day enjoy terrific trekkings to villages around Sapa: Lao Chai and Y Linh Ho villages of the H'Mong people and Ta Van village of the Day people. 
In the afternoon transfer back to Sapa by car. Relax at a nice cafe overlooking the beautiful valley.

Overnight in Sapa. 

Day 9: Sapa - Hanoi - Departure (B)

Morning transfer to Hanoi by road (6 hours). Then take departure flight for home.

End of service.
