This trip will bring you a great mix of adventurous rides and leisured times. The newly built national Highway B1 on the former HCM trail will offer you great rides of empty good roads, stunning landscapes, and especially adventurous winding passes and slopes.

Time duration: 19 days 

Day 1: Home – Hanoi 

Arrival in Hanoi, the 1000-year-old capital city of Vietnam, met with the guide and transfer to A hotel for check-in. Afternoon: enjoy 1 hour rickshaw ride around the town center to be amazed by the unique hustle and bustle of the city. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi

Full day for exploring the fascinating city of Hanoi where old and new things blend together and Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mix together.

Activities: a pleasant walk around the peaceful Ho Chi Minh area, another pleasant walk at the beautiful Temple of Literature, a fascinating walk through the famous 36 busy streets of the Old Quarter, and a good visit at the HCM Trail museum. Talks about the traffic and road-rules in Vietnam, some tips for driving a motorbike in Vietnam, practice driving. The day is ended with an interesting water puppet performance. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Motorbike Cruise to Halong Bay (150km) 

Morning check out the hotel, load your luggage onto a support truck and start the adventure. Follow highway 18, passing by Bac Ninh, Sao Do, Uong Bi, and arrive in Halong Bay. Get aboard and enjoy seafood lunch and the scenic cruise through thousands of islands. You can relax on the sun deck, admire the sceneries, swim and kayak in the sea. Overnight in a hotel in Halong Bay.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Motorbike Cruise to Thanh Hoa (350km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Thanh Hoa via Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh. Enjoy many daily activities of the Red River Delta. Arrival in Thanh Hoa, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Thanh Hoa.

Day 5: Thanh Hoa - Motorbike Cruise to Vinh (300km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Vinh following the Ho Chi Minh Trail via Lam Son, Nghia Dan, Do Luong, and Nam Dan. Explore the newly built national highway B1 on the former HCM trail, learning about the amazing history of the trail built during the Vietnam War. Arrival in Vinh, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Vinh.

Day 6: Vinh - Motorbike Cruise to Huong Khe (160km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Huong Khe following the Ho Chi Minh Trail via Nam Dan, Duc Tho, and Thanh Ngoc. Stop to visit the birthplace of Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien village and Dong Loc intersection, one of the most violent battlefields along the HCM trail. Arrival in Huong Khe, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Huong Khe.

Day 7: Huong Khe – Motorbike Cruise to Dong Hoi ( 220km) 

Morning Check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Dong Hoi following the Ho Chi Minh Trail via Khe Ve, Pheo, and Phong Nha. Stop to visit the impressive Phong Nha caves. The ride today will cross many rivers and some winding steep slopes and passes. Arrival in Dong Hoi, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 8: Dong Hoi - Motorbike Cruise to Dong Ha (250 km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Dong Ha following the Ho Chi Minh Trail via Khe Ho and Cam Lo, stop at the Truong Son Cemetery to pay respect to the soldiers who died for the country. Arrival in Dong Ha, check in a hotel and rest. In the afternoon, ride to visit the historic sites of Hien Luong bridge crossing Ben Hai River, the border of the North and the South in the war time, DMZ, Vinh Moc tunnels and end up at Cua Tung beach for some relaxation. Overnight in Dong Ha.

Day 9: Dong Ha – Motorbike Cruise to Hue (210 km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising on national Highway 9, the HCM trail and Highway 49, via Da Krong, Ta Rut, and A Luoi. Stop to visit some former military bases on the way (time permitting). The ride today is quite challenging, crossing many rivers and some winding steep slopes and passes. Arrival in Hue, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue

Today you can leave those adventurous rides behind to enjoy a full day exploration of Hue’s typical features: peaceful, traditional and beautiful. Hue is a World Cultural Heritage site. Activities: lovely boat trip on the Perfume River to the beautiful Thien Mu pagoda and Minh Mang tomb, visit the Royal Citadel of Hue and busy Dong Ba Market. Overnight in Hue.

Day 11: Hue – Motorbike cruise to Hoian (150km) 

Morning check-out the hotel, upload the luggage onto the support truck and start cruising to Hoian following the National Highway 1. The ride today will pass by beautiful landscapes and some passes. Arrival in Hoian, check-in a hotel and rest. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 12: Hoian

Full day enjoy the wonderful features of Hoian: relaxing, charming, and great shopping. Activities: pleasant city walk to a museum, a Chinese temple, an old Chinese merchant’s house, the famous Japanese pagoda bridge, and many beautiful shops. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 13: Hoian – Motorbike cruise to Kon Tum (340km) 

After some relaxing days for refreshment, we will load up the luggage onto support truck and start another challenging part of the whole trip. Today we will take highway 14B and the HCM trail from Hoian to Kon Tum, via Thanh My, Kham Duc, and Ngoc Hoi. It’s a real tough day’s ride! Arrival in Kontum, check in a hotel and rest. Overnight in Kontum.

Day 14: Kon Tum – Motorbike cruise to Ban Me Thuot (250km) 

Morning check out the hotel and load up the luggage onto support truck. Then enjoy another wonderful ride to Ban Me Thuot via Pley Cu, Chu Se, and Ea H’leo, passing by many hill tribe villages, plantations and plateaus. Arrival in Ban Me Thuot, check in a hotel and rest. Overnight in Ban Me Thuot.

Day 15: Ban Me Thuot – Sightseeing in Don Village park by Motorbike (100 km) 

Today is a relaxing day after those tough rides. Cruise to Don village where live the famous elephant hunters. Enjoy the interesting cultures of the M’nong, Ede peoples, swim in the river, take an elephant ride, and have lunch with local specialties. Overnight in Ban Me Thuot.

Day 16: Ban Me Thuot – Motorbike cruise to HCMC (340km) 

Morning load up the luggage onto support truck and start another challenging ride on highway 14 to go to HCMC, via Dak Mil, Gia Nghia, Dong Xoai, and Thu Dau Mot. Today you will leave the quiet mountainous roads when reaching HCMC. The traffic will become quite dense and chaotic. Just take it as another adventure! Arrival in HCMC, check in a hotel and rest. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 17: HCMC 

From today, you can leave those rides behind as the motorbikes will be loaded up onto the support truck and transferred back to Hanoi where the trip was started. Full day enjoy the city highlights by car: visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a very well-known battlefield in the Vietnam War. Over here, the guests will watch a video document about the history of the tunnels and explore some parts of the remained tunnels. Then the guests will leave the Cu Chi Tunnels and drive back to HCMC. After lunch, the guests will be guided to visit the interesting Binh Tay market and the Thien Hau temple. After that, the guests will be guided to the city center where they will visit the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the central Post office, the City Hall, and the Opera house (some colonial buildings). From here, the guests will enjoy a wonderful rickshaw ride in the hustle and bustle of the city. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 18: HCMC – My Tho

Start your exploration of the terrific tropical Mekong Delta with a bus drive to My Tho city located on the riverbank of the Upper Branch of the Mekong River, and then enjoy wonderful boat trips along small canals, visits to family factories and gardens, floating houses of fishersmen, enjoy local food and fruits. In the afternoon drive back to HCMC. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 19: HCMC – Departure for Home Sweet Home

Free time in HCMC for shopping and relaxation till departure for Home Sweet Home.
