This tour offers beautiful drives and visits of the beautiful landscapes, colourful cultures of hill tribes and famous battlefield of Dien Bien Phu in the North of Vietnam.

Day 1: Hanoi 

AM: Arrival in Hanoi by plane, airport pick-up

City tour includes visits to HCM area, HCM Mausoleum (outside only), the Presidential Palace, the house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, a fascinating trishaw ride and walk through the busy interesting Old Quarter of Hanoi.
The day ends with a very interesting water puppet performance.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ba Be National Park (literally Three Lake Park) (B-D)
Full day transfer by road to Ba Be national park which includes beautiful lakes and forests.

Lunch on the way at a simple local restaurant with local food

Check in a home stay overlooking at the beautiful lakes. Relax on your own. Walk in the vicinity. 

Enjoy a home made dinner with the host family. 
Overnight at the park home stay

Day 3: Ba Be (B-L-D)
Full day enjoy being in the nature with boating on the lakes, visit a cave, soft trekking to a waterfall, walk back to the village. 

Relax with a nice cold drink at the home stay. 
Overnight at home stay of the Tay people

Day 4: Ba Be – Bac Ha (B)
Full day transfer by bus to Bac Ha, admiring gorgeous landscapes on the way.

Lunch on the way at a simple local restaurant with local food

Check in a small hotel in Bac Ha. Walk in the vicinity to visit hill tribe villages. 

Overnight in Bac Ha

Day 5: Bac Ha – Sapa (Sunday) (B)
Morning visit the famous colourful market of hill tribes in Bac Ha. 
Afternoon transfer to Sapa along beautiful scenery. 

Check in a hotel and relax. 

Day 6: Sapa – Phong Tho (B)
Morning enjoy soft trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages around Sapa with breath-taking scenery.
Afternoon be delighted by one of the most beautiful drives in Vietnam through passes, mountains, rivers, rice terraces, green fields and villages from Sapa to Phong Tho.

Arrival in Phong Tho, check in a small hotel/guesthouse and relax 

Day 7: Phong Tho – Dien Bien Phu (B)
Another beautiful driving day to Dien Bien Phu, the famous battle field against the French in 1954. Visit interesting villages of the H’mong, Thai, Mang on the way.

Check in a hotel and relax. 

Day 8: Dien Bien Phu – Son La (B)
Morning visit the famous historic sites in Dien Bien Phu: the Dien Bien cemetery and the museum, the Headquarter of General Giap, the former battlefields.  
Afternoon transfer to Son La

Check in a small hotel/guesthouse nd rest 

Day 9: Son La – Mai Chau (B)
Morning transfer to the lovely valley of Mai Chau.
Afternoon enjoy nice walking/biking around the villages.
Overnight at the charming Mai Chau Eco Lodge 

Day 10: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B)
Morning transfer to Hanoi . Then take departure flight for home.

End of service.
