TESTIMONIAL 2011

 Hi Thi!

So sorry it has taken us this long to write to thank you and your staff for organising a most memorable holiday for us.

Everything went so well and we always felt comfortable and looked after by our guides.  We especially wanted to say thanks to our first guide, Long Hoang, who was brilliant.  He organised everything for us and was so knowledgeable.  He spoilt us by booking restaurants and showing us places to eat where we were unsure.  He always booked us into our hotels and picked us on time, and was always cheerful!  We all very much enjoyed his company and that of our driver for the first ten days, Truong and were sad to say goodbye to them at the airport.  It would have been lovely to keep them all the way to the north. It didn't take us long to see that Truong was a very cautious driver and our ride was always comfortable.  Like Long, Truong was always so polite, helpful and always had a smile on his face - he would be a credit to whatever company he worked for.

Our other guides were also very helpful and knowledgeable, and that includes the local guides we had when we were down at the Mekong and at Lak Lake.

Just for your info in case you have other people interested in going to see elephants - it was amazing!  A definite highlight for us!  The accommodation was basic but that didn't matter as the views and the welcome we received in the village was just great.

The boat we had on Halong Bay was a real surprise... our rooms were spacious and we felt perfectly safe.  Luckily we had great weather whilst we were there so could enjoy swimming, canoeing and sunbaking (us Aussies love to sunbake!)

We arrived home absolutely exhausted but having thoroughly enjoyed our "holiday".  If there's anything you want to ask us about our highlights or places we stayed for other clients, we'd be only too happy to help.

Thanks again Thi and we'll contact you when we decide to go to Cambodia...

Kindest regards,

Sue and Paul Murphy – Australia – April 2011

 Dear Ms Thi,

I thought that you would like to hear from us about our experience with your tour, so here goes.

First and foremost, we want to thank you for a wonderful experience.  Your country is beautiful with many things to see, hear and taste.

Comments on the hotels:  Melia Hanoi and Palm Garden, Hoi An were genuinely 5 star and everything about them was wonderful.  The La Residence was not nearly as good - the hotel gym was closed for renovation, and we would not rate it 5 star.

The guides:  Mr. Thuan was great; as soon as we were able to adjust to his English we had no problems.  We would have liked him to give us more history and present life information, but he was very accommodating in answering all of our questions and when we were at the historical sites, he explained everything.

Mr. Thanh was full of information, but spoke so quickly that we had trouble getting all of it.  I think he needs to know that "older" people need a slower language pace and also, when he sits in the front seat and talks, he needs to face us in the back for us to hear him.  Other than that, he too was great in answering questions and filling our days with wonderful experiences.

All of the things you arranged for us were well planned and excellent.  We especially appreciated that you phoned to see if we were OK with everything.  If you contacted us in the evening at the hotel, we could have been more responsive.  We will recommend you to others.  Do you do China tours too, or just Viet Nam?

All in all, again, thank you for everything.

Sincerely, Michael & Eleanor Frey – USA – March 2011

 Dear Thi,
Thank you for your email. Hope you had a good Tet with your family.
We are happy to be home again.
Vietnam was tough for us, because of the illnesses, bad weather and bad luck. But we loved the Vietnamese people, they were all so nice and helpful for us. Especially you and your staff, we were very happy with all of your help!
Despite of all the changes you kept your friendly attitude and took good care of me when I was sick, it made me feel safe and comfortable. Everything was well organized and you made some good suggestions for changes. So thank you very much for everything.
I want to give you some feedback on the trip itself:
All the guides spoke good English and could tell a lot about the country. Especially Mr Truong in Hanoi and Ms Hang in HCMC, it seems they really like their job, they enjoyed guiding us and told us so much more then they had too, we really had a great time with them.
In addition the trip through the Mekong Delta was great, as was the excursion to Duong Lam from Hanoi.
The accommodation was all fine. There was one hotel we didn't like that much: the asia paradise in Nha Trang, it was a bit unfriendly for our taste. The hotel in Hoi An (I forgot the name) was very good. The Paradise hotel in Hanoi has a charming staff and a great location.
The bus trip from Dalat to Nha Trang I recommend to anyone: beautiful scenery.
I think Vietnam is a very interesting country. There's a lot of energy around, a lot of young people who are willing to work and built up their country.
That was good to see. For us the trip was a bit too long, due to the circumstances we couldn't do as much as we expected. But all together an experience I didn't want to miss.
Thanks for everything, hope to meet you again someday.
Best regards,
Yvonne and Adriana – Holland – Feb 2011

Judi and I would like to thank Smile Tours for the excellent arrangements you made for our 2 week tour of Vietnam. Everything worked perfectly, the hotels were excellent, and the tours and airport connections were totally reliable, even during Tet. You even managed to make the weather cooperate. We really enjoyed ourselves, and will be happy to recommend your services to our friends.
Thanks again
